Case Study : ABI in action at Station Square, North Acton

Last summer we supplied an ABI HPZ635-700 HydroPress attachment to Dawson-WAM to assist with sheet piling works at an urban regeneration project in North Acton, London. The HydroPress was used in conjunction with a range of other ABI machines and equipment, and is a fantastic showcase for the versatility of the brand.

Redevelopment in North Acton, London has seen strong growth in numbers of both residents and workers - which in turn has highlighted the need for safer and more usable public areas and this has led to the construction of Station Square leading down to the London Underground station as a community focus point.

Being an urban brownfield site there were a number of issues to take into account, and as a result it was necessary to use a range of techniques (requiring a range of specialist equipment) to complete the project. Dawson-WAM, already owners of a number of pieces of ABI equipment within their own fleet, wished to capitalise on the efficiency and adaptability of their Mobilram TM22 telescopic leader rig by hiring our HydroPress in order to complete the sheet piling work, and help to uphold their committment to minimal disturbance for the local residents.

In addition to the TM22 rig, other ABI equipment used in this part of the project included a VDW 10050 Double Auger Drive and an MRZV 30VV Vibro. The combination of these 4 key ABI products contributed to the smooth running and timely completion of these groundworks, and satisfaction all round.
